CleftPALS Qld Inc. provides a variety of support services to families with cleft affected children.
We offer phone support through our 1300 number, regular get togethers for families as well as having a private Facebook groups for both families and cleft affected teens.
We also provide families with free information kits, free hospital meal vouchers for parents during surgeries, Suncorp grant packs containing free feeding equipment and Community access sporting grants.
We have also listed some outside help links you, your family or child may find useful.

Free Suncorp grant equipment packs

Thanks to a generous grant from Suncorp’s Brighter Futures Grant we are able to offer this pack of free feeding equipment to new families. If you are expecting a baby or have just had a baby with a cleft condition you are eligible obtain one of these packs. 

Pack Includes:

1 x Information booket – Contains information to questions you may have.
1 x Chu Chu Easy Feed Teat – for every day feeding of babies with a cleft lip and or cleft palate.
1 x Pigeon Cleft Teat regular or small (size is random to pack) – for every day feeding of babies with a cleft lip and or cleft palate.
1 x Pipette – for feeding post lip repair. This is not suitable post palate repair
1 x Spout – for feeding post palate repair
1 x free Regular Postage

This pack is valued at $45.95 and is a great way to ensure you have the basics. 

 Please be aware that it is one pack per family and this pack is only available in Australia.                            

Free hospital meal vouchers

Thanks to a generous grant from Kedron Wavell Services Club we are able to offer meal vouchers to families so the parent accompanying their child during surgery at the Queensland Childrens Hospital can have a meal or hot drink.
Each voucher is valued at $7.50 and can be used at the food carts up on some wards, Amigos Shop to Go convenience store located on Level 2 or in the food court on level 2. This does not cover Sumo Salad or Hudsons outside of the food court.

Community sporting and cultural grant funded by CleftPAL’s QLD

We have been working hard to improve services for our community. Our latest project is the CleftPALS Qld Sporting and Cultural Grant. We will be awarding four $100 grants per school term to help cover the cost of any sporting or group based extracurricular activity for cleft affected school aged individuals from Prep to year 12. Applications are open to all financial members and will be reviewed by the CleftPALS Qld committee.

Events & Get Togethers

CleftPals QLD hold events and get togethers giving families the opportunity to meet others on the same journey. When planning these we take into consideration factors such as location, amenities and something to keep the kids occupied like fenced play grounds.

Help with Hospital Costs

Thanks to another generous grant from Kedron Wavell Services Club, we are able to offer or financial members a $40 pre paid visa gift card to use towards parking, fuel, meals or what ever it may be. To get yours simply become a financial member for $10.
